Four Simple Ways to Update Your Kitchen

The kitchen is typically the hub of your home.  Whether it is where the family gathers to share their day together, the kids do their homework or the main location for entertaining guest, one thing is for sure… the kitchen is definitely one of the most used rooms in your home.  And when that room is less than inviting or looks like something from the Brady Bunch, it’s hard to enjoy spending time in that space.  We have come up with four simple ways to give your kitchen a fresh new look without committing to a full remodel or breaking the bank.

New Countertops:  Replacing old counter tops with a new quartz or granite tops can give your kitchen just the face-lift it needs to help forward it to your favorite room in the house.  Quartz and granite come in a variety of colors and textures, allowing you to add a fresh new look to your existing cabinets and room.

Backsplash:  Adding or changing an existing backsplash is a great way of giving your kitchen a simple new look in as little as a day.  There are a variety of tiles from traditional subway tiles, to stone tiles, to glass tiles that help give your kitchen an updated look with little obtrusion.


Hardware:  Sometimes big things come in small packages.  Hardware is a fantastic and inexpensive way to move your kitchen from dull and boring or outdated to new and improved.  With a wide array of choices of knobs and pulls in various finishes, not only does new hardware provide an updated look, but improves functionality of your existing cabinetry.

Lighting:  Whether you choose to update existing light fixtures or add in new, changes to your lighting can revamp your space by highlighting and softening different areas.  Additionally, with the new LED fixtures and bulbs, you will see savings in your energy usage.
